EP-AF uses a high-rigidity (enlarged diameter) output shaft specifically designed for applications where a gear, pulley, or cam is mounted directly on the shaft end — imposing radial and bending loads on the shaft. If your load connects to the gearbox via a coupling or rotary table flange, specify EP-AB. If you are mounting a gear or belt pulley directly on the output shaft without a separate bearing, specify EP-AF instead.
