Requirement 1 — Round Flange Self-Centring Into Bore
The circular pilot diameter of EP-ADR self-centres into a housing bore to H6/H7 fit tolerance — eliminating the eccentricity that would occur when a square-flange gearbox is bolted to a flat plate adjacent to a rotary element. For rotary tables, cylindrical actuators, and bore-mount mechanisms that require the gearbox axis to be concentric with the driven bore, the round flange provides this without a separate concentricity adjustment procedure.
Requirement 2 — 90-Degree Direction Change
When the servo motor must be positioned perpendicular to the table or actuator output axis — motor inside the machine base while the table rotates on a perpendicular axis, or horizontal motor driving a vertical bore-mount mechanism — the right-angle output of EP-ADR achieves the direction change within the single gearbox unit. The P0/P1/P2 backlash specification accounts for the internal bevel stage contribution; no additional backlash accumulates from a separately sourced bevel pair.
Requirement 3 — Ratios 21, 31, 61, or 91 at the Right-Angle Output
The four non-standard ratios 21, 31, 61, and 91 are available in EP-ADR as two-stage configurations — the same ratios present in EP-AD but now delivered at 90 degrees to the motor input. These ratios are absent from EP-ABR. For bore-mounted right-angle rotary table drives where the required output speed corresponds to one of these values from a 1,450 rpm or 1,500 rpm motor input, EP-ADR is the only Korea Ever-Power right-angle precision product that can provide it.

If your application requires single-stage ratio i=3, i=6, i=8, or i=9 with a right-angle output, EP-ADR cannot supply these — they are not in the EP-ADR ratio set. Specify the EP-ABR square-flange right-angle series instead, which covers the complete 3–10 single-stage range. The EP-ADR frame range skips the 090 mm body diameter that exists in the EP-AD inline series. If your application requires a body size between ADR064 and ADR110, the next available EP-ADR frame is ADR110. The EP-AD inline series does include a 090 mm frame if an inline (non-right-angle) configuration at that body size is acceptable. EP-ADR110 P1, i=61 for a side-entry 4th-axis for our Ti-6Al-4V machining line. Both previous right-angle suppliers offered only i=50 (29 rpm, too fast) and i=70 (21 rpm, too slow) for the 1,450 rpm motor. The i=61 from EP-ADR gives 23.8 rpm — exactly our surface speed target. The round flange pilots into our 112H7 table bore. Zero dial indicator setup, same as our existing EP-AD inline units. I confirmed with the Korea Ever-Power team that i=61 is not achievable by combining 4/5/7/10 — it is a unique configuration. We have now deployed this on 14 machining centres. 20 months, no issues.
EP-ADR110 P2, i=21 for the rotation drive on 32 welding positioner tables — bore-mount right-angle into the positioner side housing, 1,500 rpm direct online induction motor. Target: 71 rpm table speed for our weld bead deposition calculation. i=20 gave 75 rpm (accumulation speed too high, bead width inconsistent). i=25 gave 60 rpm (too slow for cycle time). EP-ADR064 P0, i=91 for a wafer tilt-stage axis. Required ≤1 arcmin at the right-angle bore-mount output, 65H6 housing bore, horizontal motor orientation. No other supplier's right-angle round-flange series offered P0 at i=91 in a 64 mm body diameter. EP-ADR was the only one.
